I'm looking for a new job and my parents insist I walk in and ask even though i've already applied online, emailed them, and messaged them on facebook. My dad says they'll “respect that” even though it's literally a min wage job.
I'm forced to live with my parents since I can't afford an apartment, so they still have control over me.
What would I even say? It seems so stupid to waste all that time. I've applied to several places, and none of them have answered. Thinking about just telling them I went and asked just to get them off my ass.
I told them there's no way I would work for a company that can't even take the time to tell me they're not interested in having me come work for them, because that's very telling of how the work life would be. Not giving a shit about you.
It's so old fashioned, what is the point of having an online application process if no one even answers. I'm not sure anyone has the time to drive around all day going to each place asking for a job.
