Anyone ever take a job and told its one thing only to find out over time that it’s nothing like was advertised?

Took a job and was told it was going to be leadership role, changes were needed and outside perspective was wanted, lots of investment was expected and welcome. Job is nothing like that, complete opposite in fact.
