A company I applied to called me at 10:24 am this morning to schedule an in person interview at 11:00 am today. Am I wrong for thinking only giving 36 minutes notice is a little crazy? Id have to shower, get appropriately dressed, and drive 17 miles in that time. Not to mention that I have a three year old, and would have to find a sitter. When I explained this and stated that I am available later this afternoon or anytime the remainder of the week I was told that they’d “have to get back to me” before they hung up.
I’m not even mad, mostly bewildered. What even is the point of making that phone call in the first place?
