So I’m a supervisor at my job. Apparently for the role, I’m supposed to have a “recertification” every few months to make sure I still have the skills. That’s weird within itself but whatever. However, my boss’s boss told me it was supposed to be in January. Didn’t happen. About a week or so ago, my AM shows me that her boss says it will be 7/29/23 & location is TBD. Cool whatever. Nobody says anything else TO ME about it. I figure it got moved around again just because that’s how it always is with the area manager. However, fast forward to today, and the GM comes back to the store with two employees who went to the certification event and took their tests.
Mind you, my GM has been mentioning this to me for months and I’ve been practically begging for the training that I would need at my recert (I didn’t do part of the test when I was promoted because time was limited, and so I was supposed to complete it on the recert day).
I just feel like are they trying to demote me or push me out? I also found out today my GM has been talking about me behind my back to other employees saying I don’t do the things I’ve literally asked him umpteenth fucking times to train me for. How the fuck do I do something without proper training?
