Okay. So I work for a multi-million dollar company and recently we have been hit by some layoffs. Nothing too crazy like some of the other companies out there but here's something I don't understand.
Ever since covid we had been primarily a work from home force. As of this year though we started the bullshit hybrid schedule. 2 days in office, 3 days at home.
So why the hell is the company footing the bill for thousands of dollars to have the offices open, with heating, power, internet and all that, AND decided they need to make cost saving measures? The easiest answer is letting people work from home all 5 days and not having to pay for the offices. Simple solution. I really don't understand the logic behind this decision plus some of the other recent decisions.
