I work for a hotel in their restaurant/cafe as a barista and server. The manager (the ones emailing me are the manager / my boss, and her puppet / henchman Karin [kept her first name in because it's just too fitting]). is so conveluded.. everyone has essentially quit within the past month or two. I've been here a year (one of the longest remaining employees) and am at my wits end. My boss is a bully and is very unhinged, prideful, and arrogant and I am constantly on Indeed nowadays because it is deeply affecting my mental sanity and peace remaining here.
The only other barista (purple in the email) had enough finally and put in his 2 weeks, then our boss being the spiteful bitch she is, told him something along the lines of “we have enough staff, you can leave effectively immediately”. Then I got this email right after, about 3 days I called off 4 weeks ago. When calling them out on their bullshit in the nicest way possible, along with suggesting – not assuming – a solution, as my coworker and good friend (blue in the email) has been out of town and is returning right before I need these days off, this was their response.
I am still not coming in those days because no, a request time off isn't me waiting like a dog at the dinner table for master to say “yes”. I'm telling you my availability, and if it was really a big deal then either tell me right after I requested it off back in April, or don't tell someone who's help would've been greatly needed to get out.
Looks like she literally copy and pasted some shit from the HR handbook. Just wanted to share this stupidity with this subreddit
