I just started as a store manager with a company that I've noticed is really shitty toward employees.
My supervisor called me aside yesterday and told me that in the next few weeks, I needed to pressure my assistant to quit “so we don't have to pay him unemployment.”
Naturally I'm not going to do that. He and I do the exact same job, the only difference is I make schedules and order stock. That's it. They've already made me shave his hours down and make him leave early the next day if he gets any overtime, something I'm also against, but what would you guys do in this situation?
