Hi! Throwaway long time lurker but anyways. The other day I was sending out mass applications to go work somewhere else as my current work is wack. In the midst of getting a response, the interview informed me via email that I would have to complete an assessment prior to an interview. I figured cool, I’ll do it and then see how the interview goes.
When I review the assessment, it’s a huge blueprint style questionnaire of scenarios of data management and operations. Planning, execution, training, steps to overcome obstacles etc.,
I wrote back to the interviewer that I was no longer interested since I would not get paid for actual work and this was only during the interview process. Imagine the work I would be asked to do while getting paid for it?!? Did I do the right thing?
