Had an accident in Australia. Nothing to do with work, traffic accident. Ended up in hospital with some fractures. Asked the doctor for a note for work. He gave one but had zero details about what happened or my condition, just that i cant work for a certain time period. I thought it was a mistake, so I asked him about it. He said “nah, all your work should know is that you're unfit to work. They have no legal right to know more. What if you were unfit to work because of something drugs or alcohol related, you wouldn't want them to know, right?”
