Made me so discouraged starting crying when I got in my car that that’s how they feel about me . I’m one of the best and long term workers there I earned that position. Lately I’ve been have problems with this coworker who has been here 2 years. She’s constantly leaving stuff for me she’s had time to do and done things that could’ve waited. She’s also been giving me attitude and snobby when I try to address what to prioritize I’m a senior tech so not a boss but someone who knows the routine. I have voiced my concerns to my bosses a few times before how she speaks to me And today I got called into the office and hit with “are you happy in your role? You seem to complain a lot. You can go back to being a normal tech?” I turned it down because my…

RTO is directly causing Climate Change
Regardless of how they feel about productivity, anyone who promotes or mandates Return-To-Office is putting cars back on the road five days a week that otherwise wouldn't be there.
They'd absolutely want to get you to work for less!
IT’S NOT CAPITALISM!!!
I’ve been wanting to clear this up for sometime. I am as anti-work as anyone else, but everyone is using the wrong word. America is NOT a free capitalist market! It might have been in the 17-1800’s and we saw huge economic growth from 1950-1970’s. Please quit saying “capitalism this”, and “capitalism that”. At best America is a governmental fueled Oligarchy with hints of socialism and communism with the illusion of choice. Please find a different buzz word.
I (17f) work two jobs, my second one I despise and I only started working there. I'm about 4-5 shifts in and still being trained. I have absolutely NO intention of coming back, I work tomorrow and I have an injury that worsened due to the shoes I wear there. They also messed up my schedule for Saturday, I wasn't made aware I was working at all until I asked a coworker. I love my co-workers but the management is awful. Do I formally quit and give 2 weeks notice? Or abandon my position and terminate my employment by missing two shifts? They managers are COMPLETE assholes. I struggle a lot with my mental health and this is making it a million times worse. What the hell do I do? Edit: HOW DO I QUIT??
Calls for Every Tiny Thing
Calls.for.everything. I'm ready to jump out a window!!!! Boomer boss wants to call about every tiny thing. Obsessed with rules and if someone potentially is breaking one, omg its a damn hour call about it on what to do instead of just addressing it with them directly. Call the person and tell them, not me, who is unfortunately a support person at the wrong place wrong time. You're the leader. Lead! I like my day to day work but absolutely HATE dealing with the people and the management who waste so much time sooooo much time I could tolerate work if I could find any autonomy at all. That feels like a fever dream. To just handle shit and be left alone Why do managers hassle about every tiny thing and then get mad everyone hates them or leaves? It's because….you make life difficult for everybody and waste our time…
I’m curious to know why this happens. When someone with a leadership position requests a simple task to be corrected, they would reply in an all chat with hundreds of people to see when they can simply reach out to managers to help provide a solution. I’m at a company where things are always ad hoc. Last minute changes happen, projects get cancelled, and the time spent on work goes down the toilet. It’s like there’s no sense of direction or process to follow. It’s always about making the customer “happy” with a sell. I get it, profits are on the line, work needs to be done, we’re all busy. But when things are missed, why the f*** do you (leader) escalate and tag hundreds of people on an email thread to get one problem fixed? I don’t even think it’s about accountability. It definitely feels like shedding light and…
Starting this week, my work will be reducing my pay $1 less an hour since I make tips working on the register. Yes I’ll still be making more than I would without tips, but they give me no choice because they force me on register despite the fact that I’m trained and shown interest in BOH, and even if I am not making less $$$ it’s still a stupid excuse for them to not have to pay me so they can make more money for themselves. I’m not blaming it on my specific location as even the managers have expressed concern about it, more so corporate, but it’s still stupid and unfair
