Greedflation is good… What BS.
Reposting original link wasn’t working and had a paywall. That’s to user that posted the free link sorry I don’t remember their name.
On the one hand, I can demand a reference letter in return. On the other hand, I am so pissed at them that the thought of being a part of the team any longer makes me want to scream. I don't know what to do. To them, and others, it probably seems I quit on a whim but it's been building up over months and months. I think today I will have some wine and worry about it tomorrow.
Here’s a hot take…
Stop asking why nobody tries to go on strike or unionize. Seriously. Its not conducive to change. Ask instead how do i begin the process of doing that myself. I cant be the only person on this sub with organizing experience, as limited in success as it may be. I cant be the only one with a red card in here. Im sick of people whove never even done anything “leftist” besides rant online making self righteous posts going off on why we dont do these things. You have no idea how hard it is, how much time it takes, to build a movement with the capacity to have general strikes. Put up or shut up. We can ask why people arent on board once we have a board to stand on
to make a long story short, we have an awful manager. hes not only a horrible person but has been breaking both company rules and actual laws. he has gotten people fired or bullied people into quitting when they try to file a complaint. it has gotten so bad that all of us decided to collectively write a complaint with everything he's done and send it off anonymously. hr is now investigating all of us to find out who sent the complaint rather than investigating our manager.
Your job doesn’t define you
I’m getting a performance review in a few weeks from my supervisor who has not overseen any of my work since I started this job 6 months ago. Should I show up to the performance review with my own review of her performance? She has been a very poor manager but has extremely high expectations for employees.
