Ive been working the typical 9 to 5 and am tired of it, but don't have much a choice. With that said, I've been applying for jobs and figure asking employers if they allow 4×10. Not one has said yes so far. I'm in the Construction industry on the project management side for those who are curious. Anyway, what's the deal with employers not allowing 4x10s? OK so you want us to work 40 hours, let us do it in 4 days instead of 5? Some employees choose Monday off, others choose Friday so the office always has someone.

I see there are many people in here with such deep thoughts and anger towards a society they feel has gone mad and also wronged them. I think this has perpared them for the proposed issued. I hate start-ups
Honestly, this is a continuation of my previous post. For anyone wondering – my boss is currently wanting me to work 12-16h+ and has also asked me to work on Saturdays. He just sent me a text the other day when I was not aware he wanted me to work on Saturdays asking where I was. When I texted him back and asked him if I was supposed to work then, he replied that its extremely important to him and his company that employees are available any time during the day, after hours, weekends and even holidays. That concept to me is extremely strange, considering he is paying me nothing special. It's a start up and when I joined we discussed the occasional after-hours and maybe the 1 in 5th Saturday a few hours to help out but now it is turning out to be a non-stop 'grind' culture gig.…
Public employer, smart phone for work purposes. They created an app for internal processes and at first, like any app, we could change the location access settings. Then, out of nowhere, it’s locked to “allow all the time” and we can’t change it. We also can’t delete the app. I asked about this setting (saying it depletes our battery & is creepy) but no response. Any way to circumvent this as a middle finger to them? It’s a Samsung Galaxy.
