I need to quit society. Call me crazy but I think I’m going to quit my job, get my self situated and find a way to live cheap and not work for a while – travel hopefully, spend time with family. I don’t like my job. It feels like a ball and chain right now. It robs me of my energy. I feel like they want more than I have to give. The social system we live in is just so predatory. It demands too much from us. I’m tired of spending my only life on this planet working towards a better resume, giving my time to someone else to profit from…

My job (NY-based) at a large F500 company is now forcing us all to return to office after having been remote the past 3 years. As our company has been struggling somewhat financially, I suspect this policy shift is to encourage employees to leave, saving the company from having to pay severance during inevitable layoffs that will come. I do not want to return to office. I’m done with that. What is the best way to exit? Try to get fired for poor performance, and then collect unemployment before a new job? Wait it out until layoffs come, be unproductive, and hope to get laid off?

Lol wow I was not expecting that. What does an Instagram have to do with a job? Its for a part time trivia host, but I have a previous position I did just like this on my resume. I immediately clicked off.

For context, my coworkers would not be understaffed and in fact most people would gladly take my hours, however I cant contact them. I just want to start my next job which will make me more.
