Hey guys I know this is about anti-work and I would love to be rich too and not have to work all the time. But today I got my first occurrence. I honestly forgot I had to come in today and had something scheduled. for background, I consider myself a valuable employee, they know I can do almost anything. I’ve never once called out. I’ve picked up shifts and they’ve given me the option to come in earlier when I want. I got this occurrence and I guess they’re figuring it out but of course it scares me. I know they see me probably as a worker doesn’t mean much but idk what an occurrence is.

My sources have told me that the company, Kroll, just fired 1% of its workforce with more on the way. Other sources have reported that the company missed its 2022 revenue goal by $100 million. Anyone close to the situation, please add to the feed below. Anyone currently within the firm, in a non-leadership role, is recommended to find alternative employment as soon as possible. I just wanna complain about job hunting fatigue w/o vague posting on LinkedIn or anywhere else my former employe can see. Here is my story: I got hired for the company as a Admin, Operations assistant and social media manager. I had a manager who was main business operations lead that I would assist in tasks and do social media on the side. (I have degree in digital marketing field , no operations experience). I went through months of training than the operations manager got another job, but still helped with freelance for us a little. So for about 4 months, I took over about 90% of the operations tasks. I have a medical issue. I am afraid that at times it may cause me to miss work, because of this my doctor filled out FMLA paperwork, and it was approved on Tuesday. I have only missed one day this year, I just took the FMLA as a precaution, because my medical issue can come on without notice. In addition to the above mentioned medical issue I also have a sleep disorder. My department knows about this. I work the overnight shift because of this. I have happily been on this shift for a year and a half. 4 days after I turned in my FMLA paperwork my department director and manager decided that we will now be changing shifts at the end of the month and rotating shifts every six months. In Ohio, is it legal to require hourly staff to give 30 days notice before they quit, and change their hourly rate to minimum wage for the last pay period if they don't? Is it legal to force said employees to pay for trainings the employer required them to take? Is it legal to terminate an employee's insurance coverage effective immediately and still charge them premiums on their last paycheck? Is any of this reportable & if so, to whom? Thanks!
