Redundant after 10 years
Apparently the auto industry is still suffering, enough that my department is hoping to lose about 30% of it's staff. Me included. I am… At peace with it. I kinda had one foot out the door already, but it's like some great tragedy has just happened Infront of me. While I'm ok and I'll do just fine, many of my colleagues have been here a long time, some up to 35 years, and my heart goes out to those people. Imagine trying to find a job now, with the information age leaving your in the dust? Anyway, not sure what this post was supposed to really be about… I hope and encourage you all not to become tired down. Loyalty is not bondage. Never let one become the other.
Ok so I’ll keep it short and sweet . And if this isn’t allowed here please delete. This girl I know got hired at my company and she’s doing the same job as I am and making around $2 more (I know this because she told me how much she’s making), she has no experience – and it’s not an easy job. What do I do? How should I handle this? HR?. To say I am infuriated is an understatement.
