Tips for writing an “I quit” email?

I've only really worked like a shift for this company but I'm kinda at the start of a pretty intense burnout and so mentally can't work a job. However I'm also really anxious about sending the resignation email and I don't really know what to say in it or how to word the general needing to quit for mental health reasons. I want to try and keep a positive sort of relationship because they have a summer position I'm interested in. But yeah any tips people have on how I could word this, especially with it being required of being two weeks notice but like I mentally can't work more shifts.

Nervous about my job security

I work for a “publicly owned” healthcare system. In early 2020 the company had to file for bankruptcy, I was told it was due to severe mismanagement. We were bought out by a larger health system and there was an overhaul of the whole executive staff, new CEO, COO, CFO, CNO, the works. I was brought on in late 2020, and 2021 seemed to go well. I saw lots of positive changes. Recently stuff has started hitting the fan again. Our Unit Directors are leaving in droves. 1 left last week, 2 more are leaving in March, another’s last day is set for July. Our CNO just resigned today. My boss has been gone most of the week, I saw her leaving in a hurry this morning after being here maybe 2 hours. I’m starting to get really nervous about my job security. Obviously we are a major health system…

recording things at work

Before the legal beagals get all bent. I know each state has its own “laws”. That said. So much happens in a job that is off record and verbal, yet very impactful to ones experience and outcome. Perhaps, despite the legality attached, especially given our rather connected and rapid news cycles. We as workers could turn the tables on much of the workplace abuse by covertly wearing audio/visual equipment…..so when the company fucks you…..you will have evidence. It may not be admissable in “court”, but it would in the media and street

My job amounts to solitary confinement for 1-3 days a week

Title, basically. I work in a tiny business of 2 people. The boss and me. When a day looks like it's going to be slow based on phone activity, he doesn't come in. I'm left to man the fort. On a medium day this is fine, I like to self direct and not worry about assessment by a superior. On a truly slow day though? I might spend 7 hours without seeing another person, without a single actual task to complete. Just meandering around in circles trying to find something to organize, or else sitting on my ass looking at the same 150 posts on Reddit on loop all day. Sometimes this triggers a sensation of apathy and boredom so powerful in me that it suddenly overwhelms me. I feel a tiny black hole open and collapse in my abdomen and briefly can't imagine doing anything other than crying, before…

Is there a way out of the bottom rat race?

Okay, so I work retail. While I have moved up enough to make enough money to pay the bills, I'm really getting tired of it all. Retail companies especially lowballing raises, customers are jerks, work life balance sucks. However, I'm not a college grad, and I really don't think college would be for me. I see places online advertising training programs here and there, but are they legit? Has anyone tried them and gotten decent work from them? Also, is there some sort of legit testing to figure out what kind of work a person would be good at? If anyone has info to share, I'd be really appreciative.

Just have to get this off my chest.

My wife has been working for Maverick Country Stores (Gas Station) for the past 3-4 years. She has always been in the bakery but the Bakery manager was awful and she just ended up doing her job all the time. They finally got rid of that Manager and put my wife in the position. It has been nothing but bullshit. She is the best and hardest worker they have in that entire store but they keep on finding reasons to try and push her out. They hire dipshit people whithout her input and then blame her for their bad work when she never would have approved the hire cause its obvious this lazy dumbass isnt going to keep up. Its so frustrating and stupid that they would put her in that position just to shit all over her, blame everything on her and then force her out when all the…

New here

Hey, I’m new here, and fascinated by the idea of being anti-work. I just want to know how that would- well, work, for lack of a better term. Like how would society function without work? How would we as people find new ways to occupy ourselves and generate revenue? I’m not entirely against the concept, overworking in our society is a real issue, but I just don’t understand
