This isn't directly related to anti-work but I figure most people here are subjected to ever increasing rent from a face-less corporation. My rent has increased over 40% in the last two years and I'm tired of it. Most of these property owning rental companies use an algorithm to determine a fair market price and often engaging in market collusion just so they can screw you over as much as possible. Has anyone worked for these companies know how their algorithm functions? I would like to work with people to break it. There's nothing illegal, their algo takes in biased inputs regardless so it's just changing it as we see fit.

Clocking out for 10 minute breaks?
I'm in NY state. I was under the impression it was the law to provide workers with a paid break of around 10 minutes if their shift was 4-5 hours.
GPS on company phone
I (38m) work as an inspector in various cities in the greater LA area. My boss writes the schedule for what time I have to be at the various construction sites. We are recently under new management who has decided that everyone needs to have a company phone. Previously we used our personals and were compensated fairly for the use. Does anyone know if the company can force us to keep the GPS on for the company phone?
My supervisor gave me a low job performance because she doesn’t like how I sit. I work in human services. I just don’t understand how I can be evaluated on the way I sit.
Feel bad for my friend
So I have a friend, he works at a hotel and has done for almost a year now, lets say that he has recently been having issues with management and for whatever reason (not looking to dox him) they have decided to start messing with him. He has scheduled shifts more more often than not he will get there only to be told to turn around and go home, after already going in. Is there anything he can do about it. Seems super unfair, especially with the start times being like 5 or 6 am. Based in MN
Remote Work = No Promotion
Has anyone here experienced being told in order for a promotion, management needs to see your face more? Keep in mind a work from home contract was signed by the employee and employer. It feels as though the promotion is being held hostage essentially. Other opinions or experiences?
current position on indeed
Hey I seen my current position on Indeed listed for higher pay. How should I move forward with this information?
Performance review quote of the day
“You have to be a unicorn that shits ice cream in order to get higher than a 4” Why do companies still do this when there are so many studies showing that it’s demotivating?
