Ok I've been unemployed for about 10 weeks now (I'm 20w pregnant) and I just started a new job yesterday. I'm already nervous about my day ahead today, dreading it, not sleeping bc I just simply don't want to work the next day. And it sucks! I just started! It's data entry (entry level), and billing admin. So I essentially do some data entry and direct incoming calls to the appropriate department and accept payments of patients. All entry level stuff I've never really done before (training is a month long, paid, and they don't expect me to know anything) which is good bc I don't know anything. I've only ever done receptionist work for a while so that's the only relevant job experience I have. It's 3 days in office 2 days remote. But fpr training It's 1 day remote 4 days in office. 16$/hr. My 60 year old coworker says this to me and my boss is sitting right in the office with us. He doesn't correct her. I was born with blonde hair and am not changing it. She has gotten to the point where it's very obvious to both of us and he said to me it's “obnoxious”. How is this any different from pointing out someone is less capable due to race or ethnic background?
