Is it just me but when they ask why do you want to work for ____?? Uhm lemme think I'm really passionate about stacking shelves, having no free time, receiving crap pay for it and having to deal with horrible customers. I need it for the money!!!! Some of the recruitment processes are out of touch from reality.

Airing Out My Grievances
I work in a medical warehouse that shares the same building with both a bakery and landscaping all under the same company. Warehouse positions are supposed to start at $17/hr. This one pays only minimum wage. My previous supervisor was a dirty snake that I thought was my friend, before realizing that he was a lazy, entitled jackass who is beloved by one of my higher ups and despised by everyone else. I'll get to him later. As the warehouse, and the absolute bottom line, we are at the mercy of other departments, including our graphics department and suppliers. If something goes even slightly wrong, we are lambasted by negative comments, even though it's something that is no fault of our own (graphics team not printing pamphlets on time, our orders not coming down on time or at all, or our suppliers not getting our supplies to us on time).…
I’ve been averaging about 15 hours a week, and things have been rough. I got sent home twice along with several other people for over staffing reasons and signed up to receive vacation time on those days. Employer did not apply them to my timesheet. I met with them in the middle of the week to remind them, and they said “of course,” blah blah blah. The negligence is so irritating. This is the 3rd or 4th time they said they would apply my vacation time and didn’t. Should I email them to remind them yet again? Or should I just leave them alone and suffer through the hardship? The last time I sent them an email they acted very annoyed.
im thinking of confronting my manager
ill try to be brief, but i might rant – i have a lot on my mind. basically, ever since my new manager started at my job, she hasnt had my back. for context, ive only been working here for 3 months, and with my manager for 2. my manager is standoff-ish and rant-y. normally i wouldn’t have a problem with this, but i feel like she doesn’t like working with me. when i made a decent mistake about my schedule a month ago (thought i was supposed to come in 2 hours later than i was actually meant to and missed work because of it), she lost any respect for me, and now i feel like she doesn’t trust me with anything. because she doesn’t trust me, i don’t trust her not to get mad at me if i fuck up, and with my anxiety and parental issues i…
so I just started a new job serving at a privately owned business and i’m kinda sketched by some things and wanted to make sure I wasn’t being unreasonable. so first of all, we don’t clock in. apparently the owner just “watches” when we arrive. it was my first day today and i’ve still not filled out any tax forms or any kind of paperwork. and the sketchiest, my coworker said we get paid for training based on how well we are doing. like the boss just watches and decides what she’s gonna pay you. I plan on asking the boss about this when I go in tomorrow, but I just wanna make sure that’s sketchy. like she can’t decide not to pay minimum wage when i’m not making any money off of tables yet, right?
Work “pizza party”
He immediately started listing off all of the costs of operation and how they haven’t made a profit yet and they were just barely breaking even. This was after they gave me $200 worth of Amazon gift cards for working 11 hours straight that day and handling the event. I think I need to ask for a raise.
