Why not get a degree?

I was fortunate to get mine 10 years ago and I feel very bad for the situation I see people in here on Anitwork. I spent 10 miserable years in the restaurant business, I've been there. But it only got better when I decided to take some risks and work hard enough to get out. So why not do something like cybersecurity from WGU? There will always be work and good pay and I'm sure ya'll would excel in that field. Or any tech field. I'm just asking.
