My boss want me to go work on my day off
Going to work sick
I’m starting a new job today, and I feel super sick. I can’t call in sick, because it’s my first day. Besides popping cough drops, how can I protect myself and others?
Yeah so I have a paystub pdf online and I have the app where I schedule work (I’m a substitute teacher) which has the days I worked. However my paystub says I wirk 24 hours (3 days) when my app says I worked 4 days (which I did) I emailed someone about this but I’m scared they’ll try to fight me on this. Any tips?

I'm about 15 years from retirement and have begun preparing for it. I bought a cheap place 2hrs from the city started fixing it up and made it my permanent address. I still have means within the city. When I try to explain this to employers, they take offense. I just find it odd that it feels like I'm not supposed to do something like that. My coworker is very kind and responsible to a fault and he seems to think he can do it on his own. He is strong but I'm concerned about his safety on Sunday. I'm planning on talking to our supervisor today and try to either get him to find some other people to help or to come in on Sunday and help himself. I'm not sure he has ever done…
Propaganda?
In the midst of yet another historical ice storm which has cost innocent lives and left hundreds of thousands without power, I get an email from my boss and copying my director (who are both located out of state) asking me why he hasn't seen an update to the items he asked me to work on this week. Of course he neglects to mention that I told him that roads weren't safe for travel, and that I was struggling with power and internet outages at home, and effectively unable to work remotely. Not once has he or the Director of my team asked how we are holding up through the storm, or if we were safe (or alive) but as soon as he gets a chance he asks why work isn't being done. I responded to his email, reminding them both that I told them about our limited connectivity and…
