I moved away from Texas, and my position was made remote so i could keep working b/c the company is very much struggling to find qualified workers and has a HUGE backlog. Today, the office is closed due to inclement weather in the area. The only people working are my boss who regularly works from home b/c im not sure why (who is also a severe workaholic and brags about it) and a single PM who got a laptop when they were out for medical leave last month. 20 minutes after 8 am, he messaged me and asked where i was b/c I should be working. I reminded him of the message he sent out in the department chat about the office being closed. He told me as a (the only) remote enployee who isn't affected by the weather, i am required to work. My boss blamed me for HIS misinformation
My coworker just informed me of a conference call that occurred yesterday while I was home sick. Days before, my boss mistakenly told everyone that we had new age restrictions due to a new law that passed in our state. I immediately questioned it, because after reading the law, I didn’t see how he could come to that conclusion. He insisted I misread it and shut me down completely. TURNS OUT I WAS RIGHT. On the call yesterday, he claimed I asked a different question that confused him and that was why he gave out incorrect information. I’m so over working under misogynistic men who constantly treat me like I’m an idiot.

I got an email this morning telling me that I was missing an agreement to their diversity document and that my professional references were missing. They never asked me specifically for a diversity document.

Frequent lurker first time poster here. Looking for advice. There’s a lot to this but basically I’m a cabinetmaker that moved to a new state a few months ago. I’ve done high end cabinets for years so I know what I’m doing. When I moved I found a tiny shop to work for and everything was fine. He was paying me a decent wage but I slowly started to see this guy for who he actually is. A couple of weeks ago he really started on on me.
