I work in the insurance industry. My background is a licensed auto adjuster and I left a toxic environment for a new company. Saw a listing for an “auto claims adjuster” and I applied. Went through two interviews and was hired the same day as my second interview. During my hiring interview, I asked if I would be handling complex claims, as that’s what I’m used to. I asked them to walk me through the first 30,60,90 days outside of training at their company and they gave me the same blanketed, vague, answer that every insurance company I have worked for gave me. It sounded like what I’m used to: taking a shit ton of claims in one day and expected to make first calls on all of them within 6-24 hours of receiving them.
