WHY IS MY DIET ANYONE’S BUSINESS?! I work at a daycare, and from my experience daycares are almost always toxic environments. My coworkers know I am a vegetarian, and have a very sensitive stomach. I know what foods are safe for me to eat and if I’m feeling like I don’t want to cook a whole lot during the week and get a take and bake cheese pizza. Apparently this is the only thing my coworkers care about. They constantly ask, “what’d you bring today? Pizza?” They tell the new hires that I’m a vegetarian that only eats pizza. NOW the newest thing is that I “over salt” my foods. Coworkers are talking about my use of salt as if they have an M.D.. it has bugged me so much that I now don’t add any salt to my foods, and now food is not enjoyable. These people are the…

I loved my work and found a great work/life balance during the pandemic when we could work remotely and I know I did really well… well at least according to my yearly assessments. Now I’m back to stressful commutes and sitting in a grey depressing office. I’ve become more like a zombie, always exhausted, grumpy and depressed. Most days I just blankly sit in front of the computer in the office and I feel I’ve become really bad at my job. I can’t even enjoy my days off as I worry about going back to the office, it’s mostly unconscious anxiety and trauma I think related to years and years of stressful commutes and stressful work before the pandemic. Just a little experiment. I work at a theme park. These are my responsibilities: Oversee day to day operations Recruitment (read applications, invite to interviews, carry out interviews, decide whether or not to take candidate on) Oversee training and development Monitor and make changes to training procedures where necessary Carry out inductions for new staff memebers Maintain health and safety standards Attend guest complaints and resolve them Attend breakdowns and ensure guests are happy and compensate them as necessary Carry out evacuations Ensure enough staff are in to cover all positions Perform write ups when necessary (usually when staff neglect health and safety rules), take notes in disaplinary hearings Do you think I'm a staff member, a team leader, a supervisor, an assistant manager, a manager, or a senior manager? I’m a foreman at a tree company that maintains the trees around power lines. I’m paid $21 an hour to be a foreman, to trim the trees, and maintain an CDL and drive the trucks. Thats technically 3 positions at this company. I’m the best in my area if not company wide, I’m fast careful and I cut trees properly. I’m also very passionate about my work as I want to get my arborist license and start my own company. The people I work with could care less about what they do. So I feel I’m not compensated for the passion I put in my work and the amount of work I do. I out out 5x the production others do. Title says it all. I'm either about to fucking die asphyxiated or get lung cancer as a passive smoker. I literally can't bear it anymore, is this a new trend? I work in a small agency and my colleagues smoke in an open space (that is actually a closed room), ALL at the same time. I asked my manager to tell them to stop, he said ofc but nothing changed. What can I do!

So I (23m) worked for this office for just under a year. I was often praised for how well I did my job and improving processes for my coworkers; made a lot of processes digital, etc. I was a pretty decent employee and had no qualms with any coworkers. One day in November I was pulled into a meeting at 4:00pm (NEVER a good sign). And in this meeting I was told. “We think you’re a great fit for the company, but not a good fit for your position.” by my manager and her boss. And was told that I was being terminated by January. They gave ME a 60 days notice of termination!
