Worked at a call center in Ontario Canada. Third party – US based company – Do my job well, get moved to floor support. Do my job well get moved to aid with training new agents. Company reviews pay- good news everyone is getting a pay raise. Bad news – my pay raise $0.01 Because the company had no stats to review and judge that I was doing a good job or not. Regardless of the extra work I was doing or helping train agents or taking supervisor calls cause, the supervisors had never taken a call but were people managers. Moral of story – Company's will always look to screw you, use you and dump you when you become inconvenient. I was young but being off the phones was worth the one penny raise. I walked out of work that day after they told me that took the day…

Guess that’s one way to quit
Inappropriate comment from boss
My mom was very sick and missed several months of work. She ended up getting laid off essentially. But instead of actually letting her go, her boss made a comment that he heard her kids all had good jobs. Hinting that we would all be able to help financially. I cannot believe he even made that comment and that people can just expect the kids to always help out when it’s hard enough out here.
While I was at work today I needed access to a document that I can only view if I have access to internet. Unfortunately, the internet was cut at my office trailer (construction site) for the week and the location is shit reception for phone/internet/hotspot. So, I figured for today I would just reach out to my director and ask him if he could give me clarity on the regulation policy since I could “exactly” remember. You know, since he is my supervisor and seemed like the best person to get support Well, apparently that was a dumb….. instead of giving me support he decides so ask why I can’t just use the hot spot, even though I had full explained my issue. He then asks, “have you tried using a hot spot in a different location by driving your car to an area that gets service so you can…
Indeed review gone bad
I need some legal advice. I left a bad review about the work conditions with my employer. Well that resulted in a potential candidate turning down their job offer. Now they are pissed and they plan on seeking out who has left the review and plan on getting lawyers involved. I have now deleted the review and my indeed account. Can they still find out who did it? And if so, how fucked am I?.
Really Getting Desperate.
Asked for a raise
As the title says I asked for a raise and I knew it was a lost cause when I was told to “show then I’m deserve it over the next two weeks” I held out faith and waited seeing is I’ve been wrong before but not this time. 2 weeks came and went and they didn’t even have the balls to talk to me about it. Luckily my old boss offered having me back for more money so I’m quitting my current job. My question is how do I quit I don’t need this place as a reference so I’m thinking of just leaving with no notice and and if they ask say there two week notice was me asking for a raise. I’ve never not given 2 weeks so that’s why I ask thanks in advance.
Indeed Assessments Should be Illegal
I've been trying to escape my shithole job for about a month now. Almost 90% of the time, whenever I try to apply anywhere I am sent one of those stupid assessments. I scored completed the first time I did it, which is the lowest score. I have the experience and skills though needed for the job. I stopped doing them because I wasn't going to waste my free time doing a test for a job I will probably not get for my score. It's not even my low score though, I see people who get expert and still don't get hired. I am mentally ill and have trouble with tests, especially timed tests and I just find it really unfair that they make you do these tests on your own time, as if a resume, cover letter and interview isn't enough for these employers already. I have all the…
