All employees had a nice surprise waiting for us this morning – pay cuts! Our company is not only cutting back on how much benefits they will cover, we will also be paying more for the reduced benefits! Why are workers expected to pick up the financial slack so the bottom line isn’t affected??

He was not protected by fmla unfortunately, his leave was what was called newborn bonding/parental bonding. He worked his butt off for this company for six years, took time off to care for a family member during 2020 and 2021 and had been back less than 12 months in a different position and could not qualify for FMLA. Nothing nice to say about his manager or that company. Nothing nice to say at all so I'll just cut this short.
31,F-(might not be relatable to some of the content here but have to vent) Long story short: I had my own little business for about 5 years(haven't worked for anyone else since then) Quit last due to it causing me a mental breakdown. Been out of work for maybe 4 months. Going back to working for someone with a set schedule- haven't worked full time in 10 years. The pay is very low compared to what I used to get paid in my bookkeeping jobs prior BUT it's in the mental health industry (what I went to school for.. my passion) offering me $20.75/hr while with bookkeeping (not my passion) I could make up to $30/hr. I know it sounds silly I just wish I could work remotely or something. (not full time in the office) Anyone else have a similar story? I just don't like the fact of giving…
how do you get the balls to quit
i feel like ive taken so much abuse from the family owned business i work for but im still too scared, i cant do it face to face. im a wuss i genuinely want to just send a text letting them know where i left my door key, have already gathered my belongings and will not be returning. is this SO bad? it’s not like i owe them anything after what ive endured working here
Don’t you hate it.
Don’t you hate it when you go to work on a day off to get overtime, work for 4 hours, then your boss edits your timesheet to say you only worked 1.8 hours. Gotta love it.
Company deducting wages
So I’m a truck driver and the company changed hands a while back. They’ve gotten where they’re trying to deduct our pay for not accepting load tracking (the apps don’t fucking work half the time) I was wondering if this could be considered wage theft as well and worth reporting to the labor department.
i’ve been working this position since may of last year and it’s been fairly decent. low pay but consistent hours and a 2 year old could do the job. Pulled into a meeting today and they said our contract is ending february 21st…and they have known this since DECEMBER. they don’t have enough positions to place everyone in another position. i’m so overwhelmed.
