Not sure where else to ask this. Looking for advice. I have a situation at work where I have to walk across an area where cars frequently pass by, sometimes at high speed. It’s the back side of a building where I have to take large amounts of trash to the dumpster. You have to cross the road to get to it. I’ve got a constant fear of being run over by vehicles coming around a blind corner faster than they should. I’ve reported it to the property management but they haven’t done anything. I want to know if there is anything I can legally do to force them to make a crosswalk or speed bump or something… ANYTHING to make people aware that someone may be crossing here cause I would like to not die at work!

I work for a practice doing special projects. I have created training content, templates, guides, charts, and programs that are intentional, and specific to our practice. The co-owner of the hospital is buying up other local practices, who keep reaching out to me to share the content I’ve created with them. He’s also shared a lot of my work in the past without my knowledge or consent. He essentially tries to copy and paste from practice to practice. These practices are entirely separate businesses at this time. I am not compensated by the other practices. I am a sharer by nature. I have no interest in hoarding the work I do, and I genuinely want to share with my professional community. So I work at a garage/ car wash essentially I've been there since October when it went under new ownership (owners live out of state have been here once). within a month the manager at the time was fired for assaulting me at which point I told them I wanted his position and hours they hired someone else (there are only two of us that work there ) I work part time this person works full time. It was told to me early on they were probably gonna pick this new person to be the new manager ,so fast forward a few months to today and my coworker tells me they finally officially offered them the position but not as a manager but as a shift lead and it didn't come with much of a pay raise but meant not just working on cars but also doing maintenance on the…

I just want to make it very clear that this only works when the Federal Reserve hasn't managed to shrink the economy to be easily filled by available workers. It almost never happens that there is almost no unemployment, or that there are excess jobs. You guys will suggest just dropping a job like a hot potato, but in 6 months, or a year, there won't be any jobs. There'll be unemployment. At that point, employers are going to start ratcheting down on people again. So, what are your suggestions going to be then, when the interest rate hikes finally dissipate any excess jobs and create some unemployment?

As the title says, company sent a document that requires her signature to take $900 out of her last paycheck. She told them she wouldn’t sign it, that it’s their fault, and that there’s a law in California about overpayment protecting the worker over the company. Anything we’re missing? Do you think a giant company would try and get $900 out of us some other way? The company has been scummy the whole time she’s been here and we should’ve foreseen some kind of negligence or stunt, but here we are. Any hints, tips, or tricks to stick it to these guys on her last week?
