We live in Minnesota and I’m wondering if it’s legal. My husbands work has a new hybrid schedule policy where employees can work 2 days a week from home. The problem is if you need to take a 3rd day off because you’re starting to get sick and don’t want to spread it, but feel well enough to work from home you have to take PTO. Essentially if you need to work from home for any reason a 3rd day, it’s PTO. Kind of crappy but probably not illegal? It just sucks in combo with them recently moving him to another office location adding 20 min to his commute.

Last week was my 1st week at a new job. Very well paying factory job. Thursday, they had me lifting 60-80 pounds over and over. This is a story to tell you about how bad managers are everywhere. I volunteer at a school as a coach on the side because I like giving back to the community. It’s low stress and a hobby. The head coach (HC) is a mad power tripper and acts like what we are doing is professional sports. I’ve bit my tongue a lot of times, especially how she acts towards the girls (I.e. ignoring them, saying that she has offers other places and they are lucky to have her, and that she doesn’t trust them) and my gf doesn’t think it’s worth putting up with. Before the holidays a girl collapsed and was borderline convulsing and the HC didn’t act. I called 9-1-1, while she made the rest of the girls run suicides. Can I make my work environment safer?
Not sure where else to ask this. Looking for advice. I have a situation at work where I have to walk across an area where cars frequently pass by, sometimes at high speed. It’s the back side of a building where I have to take large amounts of trash to the dumpster. You have to cross the road to get to it. I’ve got a constant fear of being run over by vehicles coming around a blind corner faster than they should. I’ve reported it to the property management but they haven’t done anything. I want to know if there is anything I can legally do to force them to make a crosswalk or speed bump or something… ANYTHING to make people aware that someone may be crossing here cause I would like to not die at work!

I work for a practice doing special projects. I have created training content, templates, guides, charts, and programs that are intentional, and specific to our practice. The co-owner of the hospital is buying up other local practices, who keep reaching out to me to share the content I’ve created with them. He’s also shared a lot of my work in the past without my knowledge or consent. He essentially tries to copy and paste from practice to practice. These practices are entirely separate businesses at this time. I am not compensated by the other practices. I am a sharer by nature. I have no interest in hoarding the work I do, and I genuinely want to share with my professional community. So I work at a garage/ car wash essentially I've been there since October when it went under new ownership (owners live out of state have been here once). within a month the manager at the time was fired for assaulting me at which point I told them I wanted his position and hours they hired someone else (there are only two of us that work there ) I work part time this person works full time.
