I am a boss. I read through this forum at least every other day to stay in touch and help me be a better leader, advocate, co-worker and human being. Thanks for helping some of us stay in touch with what matters. A lot of this place may seem like venting, complaining and griping at the man/system but I see most of it as advocating for your individual rights and expressing desperation for a fairer system of distribution of resources. Keep on. This place matters. P.S. If you're in a position where you hate your boss, maybe it's them, maybe it's you. Either way I am happy to receive your insults if it helps you vent frustration. Feel free to let loose. Let me be that guy for you.

Moving due to health covered by ADA?
A person on my team is moving out of state (still within the United States) for health reasons. They are already fully remote, so the move should be no big deal. I submitted the request on their behalf, but the company said, “No out-of-state workers”, made up some legal BS, and told me the person had to quit if they moved. Their health issues are 100% covered under ADA. Does anyone have sources and good legal resources to show that moving out of state permanently for treatment or medical reasons is protected by ADA and that we can't fire them?
While I was thankful for the experience we had, I broke it off with her. Now, she gets mad at me for doing literally anything goofy (when we used to do the same things all the time), ignores me when I try to initiate small talk, and uses an attitude when I ask a question. Edit: Yes, I know there are consequences. To me, it was worth the time we shared and taking that risk. And it’s also not an excuse
