Just wondering if an employer (UK) is allowed to dictate when holiday carryover (carried from 2022 into 2023) must be taken? They have said: Following your approved holiday carryover days for 2023, please note that these carryover days must be taken by the end of Q1 (Friday 31st March 2023). This is to ensure that you are getting maximum use out of your 2023 Annual Leave Entitlement.

Your just picking up a phone you lazy puke have some fucking decency and respect. No wonder so many people don't want to work. God forbid anything actually stressful petty happens they get all rancid and nasty x10… It's the people who been with a company ages that treat every moment like they are in hell that makes a lot of workplaces absolute shit. Like snotty gremlins. Before I let myself become such as a wet fart I'd seek out another line of work. Obviously it's making them hate life and take it out on employees. Wish employees could give warnings together against nasty dipshit higher ups for lowering workplace morale. Get them the fuck out š¤¢ One time I did housekeeping and a new lazy chest puffing manager rolled in. Everyone hated him including facility staff he ruled with an iron fist lol. I was the best housekeeper he…
My job closed openings
I was told I would be taking a new position at workā¦same pay, but with a whole lot less responsibility. I was honestly relieved. I ended up being trained for like 2 days and come to find out the guy who left the position I was going to take is now coming back. I now will be staying in my current position where we are already low staffed and overworked and I noticed they just closed the job openings where we need help the most. Is it time to move on or wait it out? Iām honestly tired of feeling like I need to be a seasoned athlete at work to rush through my job only to be exhausted and made to feel like I should go home early and miss out on pay I would have gotten if taking my time was an option.
Am I entitled to money?
I work for a construction company that requires us ā¢ to punch in at 6:45am ā¢We get a 15 minute break at 9am ā¢ a 45 minute lunch ā¢ no 2pm break because they took it out and added it to our lunch time ā¢ and clock out at 3:30 Of all this we get paid only 8 hours, arenāt we giving them 15 free minutes everyday?
Why is the American workplace so toxic?
I'm from England and in the UK and Europe our employers give us a mandatory 20 holidays in the UK and some can opt to offer bank holidays. They are also forced to give sick pay when you are sick (in the UK it could be better but still). They can't fire us when they feel like it and it is very difficult to fire people. We are able to unionise. This Christmas thousands of key workers went on strike. So why is it so negative? I'm appalled at half the posts.
Assuming you get any.
Who else ?
Am I the only one who notices at every job thereās that lazy guy at work and then you get put to do all the work ? I was doing valet at Audi and had to do every fucking thing by myself while the other valet guy would sit on his phone all day , PLUS I had to drive and hour and 10 mins to and from work everyday just to be the only one doing all the work oh and donāt forget getting fucking donuts and shit for the boss , I quit I aināt no fucking slave
Iām at an undue-hardship job (leaving this month as long as I find a job, hallelujah) which means that they donāt need to give us breaks. Frankly I canāt understand the legal jargon of Oregon work laws (I barely graduated Iām sorry) but I think they ran with it a little too hard by not even giving us a break space. Thereās a sink, a mini fridge, and a microwave in the stockroom and thatās all. There isnāt even a can opener. (Which I keep forgetting about, which is why I have multiple cans of chili and soup in the employee cabinet). So I brought in a tiny coffee maker that so far only Iāve used, and a past employee left a plug-in hot water kettle. This place SUCKS and knowing another worker bee will fill my place when I leave with such terrible options kills me. I know my…
Iāve gotten to the point I hope all corporations just completely die and are replaced by many single people business owners. Iām already burnt out at the new job and would rather have no money then deal with this. Back to back calls all day since day literal one and Iām expected to somehow magically know all the systems and processes at a completely new company? Mind boggling how any companies are even running at this point
