I’m working for this company that pays no benefits and is hiring people that make a days wage less than me every week the guy I work for is firing those that are in the higher pay bracket and is being a total wad

Was told over the phone Id have a set schedule and my availability works with them. I come in person a week later and am told the opposite. Need to prepare a straightforward yet polite reaction, they pay very good and work itself is what I was looking for but A good reason I came to them was for a set schedule considering im also a student and not many jobs seem to consider that :/

Recently I have been advised to stop working the 1/2 hour daily. It’s not legal to not pay double time after 12 is it? I never agreed to this nor are the hours banked. They also pay individuals different wages based on how close of a friend you are to his son but claim it’s productivity based. We all get the same amount of work done.

Let’s say I had free time to get a job or jobs at shitty establishments, which would they be?

quick question: I’m a firm believer in wage sharing but i always keep it discreet. i’m aware of the national labor relations act but recently one of my coworkers told me to be careful because discussing wages has been a fireable offense at her previous jobs. is it?

I had a really shitty part-time job last year. I won't go into many details about it, as it isn't important for the post. Except for one thing: I think they might have broken the labour laws. Or rather – I was told this by someone I trust but I wasn't able to find that specific law. Shortly before I was fired, I got into a conflict with my superior over the salary. In this country, it's possible to sign a document which allows you to keep the entire salary without it being taxed if it's under a certain amount. It's mainly helpful for students, as they usually don't earn that much. I signed this document at this job. Next month, I received my salary – and it was taxed. My superior kept telling me for two weeks that I had never signed such document, even though I had signed…
