so i started this job about a year ago. everything has been great. hasn’t felt like i’ve even been at work. management is now putting in all these rules now making work not fun anymore. first they started with no cell phones for personal use and it has to be to a minimum. now they’re cracking down on breaks. we can’t even take our break in our cars. now my supervisor is being a dickhead again. i’ve already went to hr about him in they took him off being supervisor but today he just got back to being supervisor. he said i couldn’t talk to my coworkers anymore and i had to be on my machine working at all times while everyone else can chat with each other. just a little rant about a good work place about to go sour.

Talk about exploitation
I just watched a video about the premiere of a movie about the LGBT nightlife scene, and most celebrities who came admitted they go to bed very early in the evening because they have work tomorrow. Was the situation different in the 80's? It sounds like people had more free time to spend with their loved ones and to go partying around the city. Today it's not really a thing, is it? Just a thought.
I'm heavily pregnant and going back to work today after the Christmas break. I'll be there for just over a week then I get a year to raise my child. But I'm not going back after my maternity year. I am a teaching assistant and where I live teaching assistants do not make enough money to live independently. The whole system relies on us having partners who earn a living wage so that we can afford not to earn a living wage. My point is I'm certainly not there for the money, I really care about the kids and I'm going to miss them. Work has never really been good for me. Im autistic, the number 1 thing I wish people understood about autism is the exhaustion. Going through a work day I'm getting tired like everyone else is but in addition im also being worn down by sensory issues…
But like…. why?
Anxiety about Quitting
I started this job as an internship right out of college, about 6 months ago. I'm still technically an intern but my boss has been telling me for MONTHS that they want to hire me as a full time employee. We had this conversation Mid-October, and I just heard after coming back from break they finally are writing me a job offer. I am trying to explain this while keeping confidentiality, but this workplace over the years has gone from having a lot of people to a complete skeleton crew; even when I started my boss was juggling a variety of roles. Although hired as an intern for this job there was no person in this position I really had to learn from, just my boss who didn't go to school for what job I do. I am personally not someone who minds taking on some tasks outside of what…
Tired of working for $10hr.
I am currently working as a security guard and I make $10hr. I currently live with my dad in order to survive and I am applying for new jobs. I am constantly getting rejection emails and it is really annoying me. Sometimes my dad tells me about other jobs and what I ask him what the job and pay is it is around $10 an hour. I live in Southern Nevada and most of the jobs here seem to be around $10 to $12 an hour at most. But the one he recommended me was a fast food place where I am busy and at my current job I am mostly just sitting on my ass doing nothing most of the time. I don't want to do security anymore and looking for something else. Not so sure what I want to do but I just want to work somewhere where…
