I am a 26 year old male with a Bachelor of Science degree (1.5) in Finance and project management with like 6 internships and previous work letters, telling how good I am… I applied for 3.5 months since my graduation to different junior and trainee positions (150+), but got either denied with a standart letter or due to not being able to have learned C++, Java, Python, all together, not doing SAP on the highest level (for an entry job) or because I dont haven't worked in the field for 3+ years, mostly finance related positions or in project management, as well in sales or distribution I applied, everywhere the same fiesta…. Does anyone experience the same level of shittery? I am so frustrated, also having to wait for 2+ weeks for jobs being denied I applied 2+ weeks ago…(p.s I am from Germany) or having to wait for weeks…

I work in a sales job at a company that is based in Virginia which has one party consent laws (ie they can record phone calls without the consent of the other party). I live in Illinois, which is a two party consent state. When I make calls through the CRM, they are automatically recorded. I’m making the calls in Illinois, often to places that also have two party consent laws. Am I being put in a legally compromising position with this? Or are the calls legally considered to have originated in VA since the company is based there?
If companies are judging on your past experiences, how long you stayed or what made you quit/be fired, then they aren't companies your going to stay with either. We might talk our way into these jobs after the X interview. Why does it always need to seem like a bad thing if you change jobs a lot. I feel giving 1 year of solid work to a company makes up for the time invested to get me hired ( usually when turnovers are high anyways)
I work in my city’s entertainment district in a venue that is connected to 11 others and last night was an absolute shit show. They sold tickets for New Years that included varying levels of drink packages, unlimited until midnight. Well around 11 there was a group of people from Kansas that was causing issues with another table as they were stealing seats and even an order of wings from other tables. After being made aware of the situation, I approached them and asked them to leave, but said I would not be removing their wristbands if they wanted to visit another venue. This didn’t sit well with them who immediately began saying I had a problem with them because they were from Kansas (I couldn’t care less). As they were getting up to leave, this guy sucker punches me which causes me to fall to the ground. I took…
Hi! Eng isnt my first language and Im running out of time so bare with me please! I literally have 10 hours to sleep and relax after a long shift and then I am going to have a talk with my boss. What happened: I work as a receptionist in a 4star hotel. On new years eve I accidentally (clear lack of communication from my manager and colleagues) charged** every guest at our restaurnt 20 dollars less for the christmas meal resulting in quite a big damage. ** Actually I wasn't the one to charge them. Charges on credit cards happened on the other shift, out of my working hours (I was sleeping) because we charge people when they check out. I just placed the order in our internal booking system. Now, our boss is actually one of the most notorious people in my country for being a scumbag(quite famous,…
Lunch Break
Some asian countries close their stock exchanges for an hour mid day for lunch lol. Kind of odd cause the asian work culture is a lot worse but hey stock exchanges in north america closing for lunch would be kind of cool. https://preview.redd.it/jvsli53ydy9a1.png?width=731&format=png&auto=webp&s=fa312ff85214ab48787cc5fc62379bd8239a6976
First of all I love this sub. But, can we have a few things added to many of the post? Job or Career Hourly or Salary Sales with or with out Base A. If base, can we say majority income is base or commissions This would add an incredible amount of meaning to these post for me. If I am wrong for being curious about this in the context of the post just let me know and I will remove the post if asked. Shit out there is rough and I hope everyone is making it work while being appreciated.
