Are job less, weak, not skilled and low IQ people supposed to struggle whole lives because of bad genetic lottery? We’re born to serve the rich good genetics people?

Life's a genetic lottery. Rich people have psychopathic wired brain and high IQ with very good luck. They're born to be great. Someone like me dies then another takes place to work for the rich. I am 24 from India born in a shitty family. Low IQ, ugly looks and mental illness runs rampant in our family. My father was lucky because he died in an accident when I was 3. Me and my mom had to fend off to live here. I have had discussions with my mom regarding taking my own life and she asked to join in due to frustration. We lack courage now.

Update: Employer comes back asking for help, then screws themselves out of any chance of help

Small update to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/z0psv4/little_story_of_my_own/ Recently I got a text out of the blue from this employer saying that they had a severe shortage of help for hosting and bussing, and requesting me to come back and help them for a temporary basis. Now this doesn't surprise me, as I'm sure the other hosts left for the same reasons I did. But I'm a sucker for seeing the good in people and not burning bridges, even when the other person is laying dynamite on said bridge. I take a look at my schedule and tell them I can help out on Monday and Tuesday evenings, and mornings the rest of the week for a few weeks until school started back up. This would enable me to continue DoorDashing on the most profitable nights of the week(my primary income atm), and still have time to bake treats for my online…

Southwest pilot posts about org issues within airline leading to meltdown

warning: post is a Facebook link. Pasted below to save you a click. Link to OC — What happened to Southwest Airlines? I’ve been a pilot for Southwest Airlines for over 35 years. I’ve given my heart and soul to Southwest Airlines during those years. And quite honestly Southwest Airlines has given its heart and soul to me and my family. Many of you have asked what caused this epic meltdown. Unfortunately, the frontline employees have been watching this meltdown coming like a slow motion train wreck for sometime. And we’ve been begging our leadership to make much needed changes in order to avoid it. What happened yesterday started two decades ago. Herb Kelleher was the brilliant CEO of SWA until 2004. He was a very operationally oriented leader. Herb spent lots of time on the front line. He always had his pulse on the day to day operation and…

What extent of anxiety/depression qualifies as disability? And what would change if I disclose this in a job application?

I'm losing my job soon, and in applying for new ones I've come across the obligatory disability form. Among other things, anxiety and depression are listed as things that could qualify as a disability in the workplace. I do get panic attacks out of nowhere sometimes, cry uncontrollably sometimes, etc. I've been working at my parents small business, so when I have a really bad day, my mom was nide enough to send me home. And pre-covid, I even quit a job after 7 months because my depression and anxiety were getting so bad. So my question is: does this sound like it could qualify as a disability (for jobs, not for govt assistance or anything), and if so, would there be anything to gain or different if I admit to having it?

Is it legal to share this with the company?

I just started a new job today and I’m not sure I want to continue bc of the culture that I witnessed there in 1 day. There is no actual HR department since they are a small company (less than 25 employees) and I saw that they have 2 huge charts in the lobby for all to see: 1. The first ones says how many days each employee has been late (it goes on a sliding scale between 10-30min – it lists which time block they fall under) and how many sick days or PTO days they have taken that quarter. 2. The second one says how many hours on average a week they work per quarter. If you’re working 40, you’re at the bottom of the list, so you should really be putting in 45+ (this is for salary people as well). Apparently this kind of shows your who’s…
