Hi all, Work in essential services. No thank you post of any kind on Teams from our bosses this Xmas, had to come from someone in middle management. There was a 'Happy Holidays' message sent from the director but it came in the form of an email reminding us about our work lol. “Happy Holidays! Don't forget x y and z thanks” The same person also regularly preaches about leadership this and management that but can't execute simple morale-saving items that any basic leadership course would teach. ​ Happy Holidays!

Hello I have a funny story to tell you guys about a month ago everyone who works at my hotel and all other hotels of the same brand was ask to fill out a questionnaire, one of the questions was what one thing you think about the company do you think need improvement or fixing I put upper management needs fixing because there all incompetent or just bad at there job 2 days ago there was a big meeting on zoom with all the hotel in the area around 300 or so and the upper management about the questionnaire and they where going through the most common answers to the questions, then they get to the improvement part turns out the most common reply was about upper management being bad at there job, they did like how they got call out and they where just yelling at us for 20…

In 2018, I applied for a UX position at a small software company. As a part of the interview process, I was given a few days to perform a design challenge, which focused on the language of the app. While working on it, I was concerned that the company would use my ideas without hiring me, so I emailed the VP of engineering and asked if the challenge was purely hypothetical. He assured me it was and the company would not profit from my ideas. I did my best and presented a viable solution. I was hired, and within the first month, I was told the hypothetical design challenge was actually a real project the company was unable to solve for years.
