At will & right-to-work and?

I know that there are at will states and right-to-work states (and that some states have both). Is there another option in the US? Which better protects workers?

UAW members not getting ballots on time for the election. Will Lehman, an avowed socialist and opponent of the ossified UAW bureaucracy, is on the ballot and gaining major support from the rank and file. This seems like an effort to sabotage him. Lehman is calling for a deadline extension.

My buddy had tough luck getting stable, payed position after ending 3 unpaid internships, wondering if its normal?

Honestly these requirements are stupid and really make it seem like the company wants you to work at whatever time and be happy about it, no complaints. The sad thing is that these requirements are just kinda normal.

My manager is on salary but edits his clock in times daily. What can I do?

I work in a smaller retail store. He’s supposed to be there 2-3 hours before we open, that’s what he’s scheduled for, and yet every single day he shows up a bit after we open, leaving the key holders to do that. Then, he edits his clock in times to make it look like he is there earlier. What really pissed me off is that recently, we had a store meeting, and he explained that people can’t keep asking for more hours as corporate won’t give him enough to allocate to everyone. Ok, that’s understandable, store’s not too busy so it doesn’t make sense anyways. But I wanted to bring up how we could have at least an extra 10 or so per week if he wasn’t a liar, but I didn’t mention it, because I genuinely enjoy the work when he isn’t there. Some of my coworkers have talked…

Left a good for a dream job that turned into nightmare.

I debated on posting this over the last 3 days, decided why not, so here I am. I don't normally post here, or anywhere really, more of a lurker. Thought I'd get some feedback, express my frustrations. I've worked a lot of jobs, and before taking what I thought was my dream job, I was a local, home daily CDL driver and I could have cleared an easy 70+K this year, that's important for later. This will be a long one, so TL:DR is, lost 30+K a year in pay, ended up working more hours somehow, worked 12 straight days once and starting have issues at home. Keep in mind this is a small family-owned business. I went to school with the CEO and the director of chain accounts. I have good relationships with everyone. I learned to use excel on the job, my work went from looking like…

So burnt out. All I want to be is a homemaker and SAHM

As the title states I am burn out and desperately wish I could be a homemaker and stay at home mom. I am 32 year old wife and mother to a kindergartener. I have worked full time since graduating college. My job is fine, I hold a lower management position in an office. Its a short commute and my pay is decent. However, lately I’ve just been feeling so unfulfilled and tired of the elbow rubbing, office lingo and office politics. When thinking of what truly makes me happiest, I realize how much I actually love taking care of my home and family. I like baking and decorating. I enjoy cleaning and beautifying my home. I don’t mind handling family errands and folding laundry. I have worked full time my child’s entire life. For a while it was fine, I had postpartum depression and getting out to go to work…
