I live in LA and for some reason every employer I have been with wants to give like 6 hours per day/30 hours a week. A minute over and they can write you up for getting the penalty lunch break. Just one job like that is not enough to pay like 1.3k+ in rent. I have to stay in Airbnbs because I can't find a roommate or get myself on a lease; Apparently landlords have these long interviews expecting you to be some kind of engineer or something. Even with a stable job.
I work catering events and as a barista at a hotel. In both you have to deal with some annoying guests and shitty management but I try to stay positive. It is never enough to cover all of the living expenses and I am by myself. Friends I know have husbands that take care of them and don't have to work.
