Being told to work less because I make too much money to have insurance otherwise

Now here's the thing, I'm not really big on the whole “no-work” idea, but I've just got to rant. I (18) am currently working a temporary job on a 40 hour shift, making about $17.30. It's not great, but I'm living with my parents, and I'm really only working to stay occupied and make some cash for the future. Recently, my parents have been getting some new policies on their insurance, specifically their health insurance. I'm currently covered on it as a dependent, along with a couple more siblings. Here's the thing: the new updates to our coverage has made the insurance company decide that, since I have a job, I should be able to cover my own insurance, because I'm just rolling in the dough.
