Berated for having enough money to quit and be with my newborn

In 2017 I was working at a call center and bringing home about $1,000 per month after taxes and paying for my newborn's daycare. One day I got a text from my husband informing me of a financial windfall we received (roughly $10,000). Naturally, I took off my headset and left work without a word. Well, I actually put my badge on the security guard's desk before I walked out the door, and he gave me a knowing look (if that counts). I picked up my 4 month old from daycare, gave her wonderful provider a 3 week severance check, and headed home to put together a business plan to open my own home daycare. Imagine my non-surprise when I looked at my phone roughly 2 hours later to see not one, not two, but THIRTEEN abusive texts from my God awful former manager. I texted back “I don't work…

Imagine my non-surprise when I looked at my phone roughly 2 hours later to see not one, not two, but THIRTEEN abusive texts from my God awful former manager. I texted back “I don't work for you anymore. My badge is with security so therefore we have NO reason to communicate. If you respond to this text in an abusive manner I will file a police report.” And she never texted me again.
