I apologize if this isn't the right sub.
I've worked full time for a little over a year since I got my degree. I've been at my current position for half a year. I never wanted to work full time, but at the moment I haven't been possible to work less (lack of staff, they are currently hiring more). I don't want to change jobs yet, I'll need some years experience to more surely get less hours. + This is the first place in 14 years I actually don't hate working at.
I have a meeting with my boss in a few weeks, and I want to let them know that I don't want to/need to work full time. My ultimate goal would be 30 hours/week (that's what my economy could handle). But just working a few hours less would give me so much more joy in life.
How to approach this?
