Better to leave a job before firing?

I'm likely to get fired in the next week, not from company layoffs or cutting, but because I'm burnt out and not able to make myself work anymore. I learned that if you're fired for something that's “your fault” you won't qualify for unemployment. Given that burnout isn't really recognized, and not something that the job will claim as a reason for my firing, should I quit before I get terminated? Will that make my job search in the future easier? I have enough savings to live without a job for about a month and a half, if that matters.
