Big Box Store Fun

45 minutes before closing, we pull up to the store to get last minute baking items for Easter dinner and almost every cart is in the parking lot corrals. (Did someone call off? Quit? Normal Saturday night?) We have almost everything we need and the lights flicker then go completely off. It's pitch black inside for a split second before emergency lights come on. Scary as shit. What stood out most to me is the stocking clerk who yelled at the top of his lungs “YAAAAASSS!” when the lights started to flicker. Even though we had cash, the registers weren't operational. We noped out of there so fast. The employees acted like they had no idea what to do. It would have been the perfect opportunity for people to just walk out with a cart full of stuff.
