Big Company, Minimum Wage

I just moved to Southwest Florida from the Midwest. I applied at a big company for a Coordinator position. Recruiter asks me what my salary requirements are ($65,000 – $70,000) then proceeds to tell me the range for this role is $18 – $23/hr (The CVS down the street is offering $18 to cashiers for reference). I stated that the salary range offered for the position was not within my acceptable range. The recruiter proceeds to tell me that people are chomping at the bit to come work there and that there were other perks that more than made up for the wages (free lunches, 401k match, etc.). I was also told that businesses in Florida don’t pay as much as what I might be use to in the Midwest but that I could work overtime to make more money. I politely declined to move forward.

I was more interested in finding remote work regardless but I found the whole interview off putting. r/antiwork has made me more aware of my value as an employee.
