Blatant lack of respect for individuals time and feelings during interview process

I applied for a lead position at a big name amusement park. They rejected me for that position but asked if I was interested in another internal position. I said of course and 2 weeks later I reached out again for an update. I was basically given, “we’ll let you know when we know.” 1.5 months later I reach out again and finally get an answer. Not the answer I was looking for but at least I know. So I sent them this: Hi /recruiter/, I appreciate you informing me of their decision. Hi /recruiter/,

I appreciate you informing me of their decision. However, I must express my concern regarding /theme park/ handling of the situation. It appears unprofessional to reject a candidate for one position, inquire about their interest in another, and then keep them waiting for a month and a half before providing a response.

Being a business owner myself I understand the complexities at the corporate level, however it’s still important to prioritize the individuals involved in the process. It’s not acceptable to keep someone waiting for a month and a half after giving them hope for a potential second position.

Though disappointing not to secure either position, I value your assistance throughout the process and wish you the best.

Kind regards,
/me/
