I live in ABQ New Mexico, manager calls herself a socialist but constantly over delivers out of some misguided “integrity” that she has in the past said I don't have any of. I'm supposed to get off at 730, but around 6 she always starts a big project. Rearranging displays, back stocking, clean the entire store. Issue is the company has a policy that two employees must be present at all times.
How do I tell her I'm leaving at my scheduled time?
It's there a legal protection for not being required to stay late?
