Boss brings me in for my evaluation a few days ago and tells me how great I am and everything, then proceeds to give me only a .50 cent raise. No bonus, nothing more. I asked for atleast a dollar because I have been taking on more responsibility and deserve $1 at least! It would take me too long to explain why I need to be compensated more so long story short he says he will get back to me on my offer. Fast forward to today, my coworker goes into the evaluation and gets a $800 bonus plus a $1 raise, and we are on the same team. He has been here 2 years longer than me but we do practically the same job. Still haven’t heard from my boss and plan on talking to him about it on Tuesday. What should I say ?
Side note: It is a fucking shame that I have to beg for 50 more cents so I can make $13/hr . Unfucking real
