i’m a working class college student trying to work my way through a product design degree. i work downtown with 0 parking (my problem?), he only lets us work full days 9-10 hrs with 0 breaks (he says sitting down is the break). i am disabled with autism adhd and chronic pain/fatigue, boss doesn’t care. my boss owns multiple stores downtown and for the past year i have worked at 1 store only with the exception of a few days, but after coming back from summer break he told me to come aug 23. when i arrived in sav he told me that not only would i not start on time, i won’t be working in the same store. He said he hired someone else, even though he told me to go home for the summer? I have built a community of friends at my original workplace, and none of us have the same boss. I am his longest employee (1 year) iirc. He doesn’t do clocking in, only pays me in written checks, refuses to pay overtime even though i have 111 hrs in 2 weeks. I need this job to survive and not many places are hiring since the college kids will be here soon, or they don’t want to hire people from my school (bad rep). My plan is to start building a case against him so once i find somewhere to go i can report him. what leverage do i have? what do i do about this? i’ll answer any questions, i just desperately need help!!!
