Just a rant..
Working in home health care has been a big eye opener. My boss is always talking about this “labor shortage” and how people don’t wanna work etc. she’s mentioned inflation etc but still doesn’t see the need to change her policies and ways.
Some if not most/all of the caregivers here are on public transportation, I suggested the use of Uber corporate (there are so many options and employees can pay for their own and just get a discount)
She denied but is also always on us to staff new cases or get our current staff to fill shifts but these people are stretched thin and tired and I understand it.
We just had a caregiver take a client to a higher paying agency when the raise she wanted wouldn’t been an extra $4k yearly. Now she wants to sue this girl for $60k as it’s in contracts that they cannot take clients but without her we wouldn’t have been able to staff the case.
I don’t think I’ll last here long but atleast my coworkers are amazing right ?
