So this morning I got a text from my Boss (I was on my break btw ) saying she's “putting the schedule together”(which makes absolutely NO sense since the people that work for this company have a set schedule that NEVER changes..) and asked if I'd like to work on my day off tomorrow. I politely declined, telling her about appointments I had already made for tomorrow. She replied “okay just let me know if you ever want overtime!” I replied “okay.” NOT TWO MINUTES LATER, another text from her “looking ahead to the next holiday you're working, which is July 4th, would you like to come in on insert day off for some extra money? I AGAIN REPLIED NO THANK YOU, BUSY THAT WEEKEND.. I thought that might get her to take the hint. HUGE surprise; it didn't. I walked in from my break 15 minutes later, ran into her, said my fake ass hello.. AND SHE AGAIN SAID IF YOU EVER NEED OVER TIME JUST LET ME KNOW… but then added “no pressure though.” So you'd like me to believe, after the THIRD TIME ASKING. IN A FIFTEEN MINUTE PERIOD, WAS ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE. Would it be out of line to ask if there's SO MUCH MONEY in the budget for everyone to work overtime, why can't you give me a raise from the shitty 17$ I'm making. I fucking hate America
