Boss says I can’t keep water bottle anywhere near my department.

I usually keep this water bottle nearby because the blood pressure medicine (lisinopril) I take causes a light cough that irritates my throat. I also tend to sweat a lot, so I try to drink a lot of water to keep myself hydrated. However, we’re not supposed to keep water bottles in or around prep areas and I work in a grocery store deli. I’ve asked if I can keep it beneath the counter near the entrance to our department so that it’s out of sight but the answer was still no. There’s a water fountain that employees can use but it’s upstairs in the rear of the store, and sometimes we’re too busy or I’m by myself and can’t just leave the deli to go get a sip of water. What’s worse is that I live in southern Louisiana, where the heat index has been around 100-105 degrees daily.…

What should I do?
